Questions, answered.
Do I need a MacBook with a notch?
No. BooBar draws its own island on any Mac running macOS 14 or later, on built-in and external displays, Apple Silicon or Intel. You can also dock it to the left or right edge.
How does it see my Codex and Claude Code sessions?
BooBar reads the session logs those tools already write on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded. Approvals are passed back to the tool locally.
Will it get in the way of full-screen apps?
Turn on “Hide in full screen” and the island steps aside whenever a video, game or app goes full screen.
How many Macs can I use?
Choose a 1, 2 or 3 Mac license. Moving to a new Mac? Deactivate the old one from Settings and activate the new one.
What if it isn't for me?
