From file clutter to searchable File Cards
Traditional file tools move files by extension. BooBar tries to understand what a file is before it recommends a name, tag, destination folder, or archive action.
- Organize PDFs, screenshots, invoices, downloads, notes, images, and temporary project files.
- Use local rules first, then optionally ask Codex or an OpenAI-compatible model for richer suggestions.
- Keep rename and archive actions traceable so mistakes can be reviewed.
Local-first file automation
File watching, stability checks, basic classification, and logs run locally by default. Cloud AI can be limited to File Card snippets instead of whole files.
